Full-timeteacherofthispositionwilladvisestudentsontheirfinaldegreedissertationandcoachondesigningandwritingthebusinessplanforFinancialAccountingandBusinessandManagementspecialization.

Full-timeteachersareresponsibletoteachandadvisestudentsinfullcooperationwithotherfacultymembersandadministrators.Thesecondobjectiveofateachershallbetoprovidethestudentwithqualityeducationthroughprofessionalcompetence,effectiveteaching,andwisecounselling.

Teachersshallalsostayup-to-datewithprofessionaltrendsintheteachingfieldandhelpfacilitatethecontinualchangethatmayberequiredtokeepinstructioncurrentandrelevant.

Infulfillingtheroleoffull-timeteacher,eachteachingmembershallberesponsibleforthefollowing:

Dissertationandbusinessplanadvisingaccordingtothecoursemoduleguidesorprogramcataloguetoensurestudentsareabletocarryoutappropriateresearchaccordingtosubjectandspecializationareasoftheirstudy.

Advisor’sresponsibilitiesinDissertationadvising:

oOnsettingresearchtopicsanddirectionorhypothesis

oOnguidingresearchareasandmethodologies

oOndatacollection,analyses,andchartingthefindings

oOndrawingconclusionandevaluation

oOnguidingandpracticingacademicwriting

Fulfilcontractualobligationsforafullinstructionalloadatminimumof18hoursofteachingperweek.

Allassignmentsaremadeconsideringthebestinterestsofthestudentsandarebasedondocumentedtrainingand/orexperiencerelativetosuchassignments.

ConducteachclassaccordingtotheapprovedcourseoutlineonfileintheAcademicDepartment;wheresyllabusadjustmentsaredeemednecessary,coordinatesuchchangeswiththeProgrammeDirector.

Utilizetheapprovedtextbookand/orotherinstructionalmaterialsforcourseassignments;coordinateanychangesoradditionstotheapprovedtextbooks(usingappropriateformsandproceduresandinadvanceofthepublisheddeadlines)throughtheAcademicDepartment.

Befullypreparedandontimeforeachassignedclass,conductingeachclassforthelengthoftimeindicatedinthesyllabusandatthetimesspecifiedintheclassschedule.

Maintainadequatecourserecordsandprovidewrittenexplanationofthegradingsystem,courserequirements,andotherclasspoliciespertheguidelinesprovidedbytheAcademicDepartmenttoallstudentsinhis/herclasses.

Beaccountableforensuringcoverageofclassesandotherresponsibilitiesintheeventofauthorizedabsence.

Maintainopencommunicationstyleforthebenefitofstudentstoaskquestionsandforclasssupervisorstoclarifystudents’progresses.

Maintainandsustaintheuniversity’spoliciesonhighstandardsofbehavioramongstudents.Itisexpectedthateachteachingmembershallmaintainthesamehighlevelofconduct,bothpersonallyandprofessionally,thatisexpectedofstudents.

Maintainprofessionalcompetencethroughcontinuousstudy,research,andawarenessofnewdevelopmentsandmoreeffectiveinstructionalmethodsinthespecificinstructionaldiscipline.

PerformsomeprogrammanagementdutiesasassignedbytheProgramDirector.

Attendfacultyanddepartmentalmeetings.

AdvisetheProgramDirectorofopinionsand/orrecommendationsrelativetoanyinstructionalorotherpoliciesorpracticesthatmightfacilitateorimprovetheuniversity’sinstructionalmission.

Participateintheannualcommencementprogram.

Befamiliarwithandabidebyestablishedproceduresandpoliciesoftheuniversity.

QualificationandRequirements:

MasterDegreeholdersinBusinessandManagement,specialization/concentrationinAccounting,Finance,andInvestment(preferablyfromU.K.,U.S.,Canada,orAustralia)andatleast5+yearsprofessionalexperience

Desiretoteachandcoach.

Goodunderstandingof,andexperiencewith,businessandmanagementera.

Strongpresentationandcommunicationskills

Stronginterpersonalskillstoeffectivelyworkwithstudents.

Excellentknowledge,andabilitywithstandardofficetechnologysuchasMSOffice,Internet,intranettools,etc.)
