Assessregularlythepupils’workbymeansofformativeandformalsemester/half-semesterassessments,asdirectedbytheHeadofScienceandtheHeadofJuniorHigh.CommunicatewiththeHeadofScienceregardinganystudentwhoseprogressorbehaviourgivescauseforconcern.

Monitorandevaluateconstantlytheeffectivenessofyourownteaching,maintaininggoodstandardsofpracticeandensuringprogression.

ParticipatefullyintheStaffAppraisalsystem,withclassroomobservationofcolleaguesandawillingnesstobepersonalyobservedwithintheclassroom.Submitbooks,recordsorplanningasrequiredformonitoringbycolleaguesortheHeadofScience.

Beinvolvedindeveloping,implementingandmonitoringallschoolpoliciesregardingScience,andtoassistinthenecessarydocumentationpertainingtothesubject,whererequiredbytheHeadofScience.

Assistwiththeresourcingofscience,andworkwiththeHeadofScienceindrawinguptheannualorder.

Applyconsistentlyanddiligentlytherulesoftheschoolinordertomaintaindiscipline,standardsofdressandtosafeguardthehappiness,safetyandwell-beingofallpupils.Toensurethatpupilsknow,understandandfollowtheschoolrules.
