TheDirectorofBusinessDevelopmentplansanddirectstheorganizationsoverallbusinessdevelopmentactivitiesincludingoverseeingthemanagementofthebusinessplan,leadgeneration,andacquiringandretainingcustomers.TheDirectorofBusinessDevelopmentwillbeprimarilyresponsibleforbusinessgenerationwithintheChinamarketforthethemedentertainmentindustry,butwillalsobeexpectedtodevelopopportunitiesaroundtheAsia-Pacificregion.Theywillconsultwiththeseniorleadershiptodevelopthecompany’sbusinessandwillbeheldaccountableforallrevenueandnetincomegoals.

Duties:

•Identifyingnewsalesleads

•Pitchingproductsand/orservices

•Maintainingfruitfulrelationshipswithexistingcustomers

•Researchingorganizationsandindividualsonline(especiallyonsocialmedia)toidentifynewleadsandpotentialnewmarkets

•Researchingtheneedsofothercompaniesandlearningwhomakesdecisionsaboutpurchasing

•Contactingpotentialclientsviaemailorphonetoestablishrapportandsetupmeetings

•Planningandoverseeingnewmarketinginitiatives

•Attendingconferences,meetings,andindustryevents

•PreparingPowerPointpresentationsandsalesdisplays

•Contactingclientstoinformthemaboutnewdevelopmentsinthecompany’sproducts

•Developingquotesandproposals

•Negotiatingsalesandrelationshipagreements

•Developingsalesgoalsfortheteamandensuringtheyaremet

•Trainingpersonnelandhelpingteammembersdeveloptheirskills

Education

•Abachelor’sdegree(master’sispreferred)inMarketing,BusinessAdministration,Salesoranyotherrelatedfield.Anequivalentofthiseducationalrequirementinworkingexperienceisalsoacceptablefortheposition.
