ProductLineManagerPOSITIONSUMMARY
TheProductLineManagerisaccountabletoexecutebusinessobjectivesinalignmentwiththestrategicplanforthepurposeofdrivingshort-andlong-termtopandbottomlinegrowthforthecategory.ThispositionchampionstheBrandandisaccountablefordrivingbusinessbyimplementingplansalignedwithcategoryandoverallcompanyfinancialtargets.
KEYRESPONSIBILITIES
•Worktoensureallaspectsoftheofthebusinessstrategyaremetthroughcollaboration—planning,forecasting,marketresearch,productassortment,sourcing,price,distribution,marketing,etc.
•Identifyandanalyzelong-term,intermediateterm(incrementalprograms,customs,etc.)andshort-term(stock/atonce)opportunitiesinexistingandnewchannels
•Developproductlineplanstomeetmarketopportunities
•Ensureprogramsareontimeandalignwithmarketneeds
•Determineandimplementplanstoimproveprofitability
•Buildandmaintaineffectiverelationshipswithallkeyinternalandexternalstakeholders,i.e.accounts,licensingpartners,etc.
•Maintainastrongunderstandingofproductdemandandforecasting.
•Planandmanageinventorylevels.
•Ownbusinessstatisticssuchassaleshistory,markettrends,productmixandpricepoints,competitionandapplythisrelevantinformationduringtheproductbriefingstagetoprovidecleardirectioninordertoachievethetargetedgrowth
•Manageanddevelopdirectreports
•Facilitatecompetitivebenchmarkingandgapanalysisincludingpricing,positioning,andproductoffering
•Build,lead,coachanddevelopdirectreportstodeliverstargetedbusinessobjectives

POSITIONSUMMARY
TheProductLineManagerisaccountabletoexecutebusinessobjectivesinalignmentwiththestrategicplanforthepurposeofdrivingshort-andlong-termtopandbottomlinegrowthforthecategory.ThispositionchampionstheBrandandisaccountablefordrivingbusinessbyimplementingplansalignedwithcategoryandoverallcompanyfinancialtargets.
