助产士MidwifeSUMMARY:
Operatesfromadeepunderstandingofthetotalsituation.Collaborateswithothercaregiverstochallengeandcoordinateinstitutionalresourcestomaximizeadvocacyforpatientandfamilycareinachievingthemosteffectiveoutcomes.
ESSENTIALTASKS:
Assessplan,implementandevaluatethenursingcareofpatientsthroughouttheprenatal,intrapartum,and/orpostpartumpatientservicesandprimarycaretoobstetricalpatientsbygeneralacceptedstandardsofpractice.
Deliversafeandcompetentnursingcare.
Demonstrateclinicalskills,knowledgeandcriticalthinkinginthedeliveryofpatientcareasseniormidwife,deliverysinglenewbornindependentlyundersupervisionofphysician,assistphysiciantorescuepatientwhileemergencyhappens.
Monitoranddocumentlaborprocessperregulation,providecareaccordingly.
Takecareofpostpartumpatientsinaccordancewithpolicyandregulation.
TakecareofOB/GYNclinicpatientsifcross-coverneededasassigned.
Actascirculatingorscrubnurseifneededafterreceivingtraining.
Providepatient/familyinformationandeducationondiseaseprevention,processandrehabilitation.
Managecomplexpatientcare.
Maintainandcareintheuseoftheequipmentandsupplies.
Actasaresourceperson.
ProvideMidwifecliniccarewhichincludingbreastfeedingeducation,skillssharing,postpartumcareandotherpatienteducationneedinaccordancewithhospitalprotocolsasneeded,activelyinvolvinginpatienteducationclassesandtobeteacherasassigned.
Participateincallrotationincludingin-housecalloron-callathomeassignedbynursingmanagerorsupervisoronasneededbasis.
Assistnursingmanagerfordepartmentrelatedmanagmeentissues.
Providesstaffandstudenteducationtobedepartmentpreceptorasassigned.
Documentallappropriatefindings,procedures,follow-upcareensuresacuracyandintimelymanner,monitorthequaityofpatientrecords.
Participatesinqualityimprovement/assuranceactivities.
Assistsinthereviewanddevelopmentofstandingordersandpoliciesandprocedures.Providesconsultativedirectionasneeded.
Followsestablisheddepartmentalpolicies,procedures,andobjectives,continuousqualityimprovementobjectives,andsafety,environmental,and/orinfectioncontrolstandards.
Participatesinateamapproachtopatientcareandprovidesforeffectivecommunicationtootherstafftoensurecontinuityofcare.

Overseaworkingexperiencepreferred.
KnowledgeofMicrosoftOffice,ExcelandHIS.
