TheManufacturingandShopFloorSpecialistwillbethekeysupportfortheregionofemploymenttosupportthestrategy,implementationandmaintenanceofmanufacturingandshopfloorsystemssuchas,butnotlimitedtoDataAcquisition,MESandSPCsolutions.ThepositionwillbepartofaglobalteamtaskedtorolloutstandardsinshopfloorsystemsinlocationswithintheBorgWarnerDrivetrainGroup.Thepositionwillprovidehands-onsupportforallsystemsontheshopfloorworkingdirectlywithIT,EngineeringandOperations.Thepositionwillworktoimplement\upgradethesesystemsintonewandcurrentmanufacturingequipmentaswellasworktointegratewithothersystemslikeSAPERP.Thepositionwillberesponsibletoensurethatalldevicesontheshopfloor,whetherPC,tablet,RFGun,etcaresecure,patchedandprotected.Thepositionwillalsorequireunderstandingofnetworkingconceptstohelpsupportmanagedswitchesusedontheshopfloor.

TheManufacturingandShopFloorSpecialistmustbeabletoworkwellwiththebusinessendusers,SAPfunctionalleads,manufacturingandcontrolsengineers,andoperationspersonneltobeeffective.Thispersonneedstohavetheabilitytogatherbusinessrequirementsandconvertthemintofunctionalspecificationsforuseindesigninganoverallsolution.Thesuccessfulcandidateneedstobeabletoworkindependently,abletocommunicatebusinessrequirementsclearlytotheconfigurationteam,performfunctionaltestingwithinthequalitysystemtoconfirmfunctionalityandworkwithkeyuserstogainapprovalforallchangesbeforemovingchangestotheproductionenvironment.Thepersoninthisrolewillworktowardscontinuousimprovementinprocessesandend-userskilllevels,diligentlypursueenhancementstoensurethesystemsarebeingusedproperlyandfullytomeetthebusinessneeds.Thispersonmustmonitorthesesolutionsforissues/errorsandassistinthenotificationandresolutionoftheissues.

TheManufacturingandShopFloorSpecialistwillworkwithbothinternalandexternaldesign/implementationteamsandworkcross-functionallybetweenthebusinessandITtobridgethegapsbetweendesign,contentandtechnology.Theywillalsoworkwithadistributedteamtoprovidethissupportglobally.Travelmayberequiredupto25%oftheirtimeormoreduringimplementationprojects.

Musthaveexperiencewithandunderstandstandardbusinessprocessesandmanufacturingrelatedsystemsfunctionality.

MusthaveERPProductionPlanning\ManufacturingexperiencetoassistandhelpsolveintegrationissuesthatmayariseinnormaloperationbetweenshopfloorsystemsandSAPERP.

MusthaveexperienceworkingwithPLCProgramming\LadderLogicfordifferentcontrollerslikeRockwellandSiemens.

Providedaytodaysupportformanufacturingoperationsandshopflooractivities.

Responsibleforgatheringrequirementsandobjectivesofprojectsandensuringcommunicationofprojectgoalsandbusinessdirectiontofunctionalmanagement.

Supportthedesignanddevelopmentprocessfornewandexistingshopfloorsystemsneededtosupportcriticalbusinessstrategies

WorkcloselywithinternalresourcesfromIT,engineering,andoperationsondesigning,implementing,andmaintainingeffectivesystemsupportforefficientandeffectivemanufacturingexecution.
