Purpose:

•Thispositionperformscomplexresearch,design,andsoftwaredevelopmentassignmentswithinasoftwarefunctionalareaorproductline,andprovidesdirectinputtoprojectplans,schedules,andmethodologyinthedevelopmentofcrossfunctionalsoftwareproducts.Thispositionperformssoftwaredesign-typicallyacrossmultiplesystems;mentorsmorejunior

•membersoftheteam;andtalkstousers/customersandtranslatestheirrequestsintosolutions

KeyResponsibilities:

•Interfacewithothertechnicalpersonnelorteammemberstofinalizerequirements

•Writeandreviewportionsofdetailedspecificationsforthedevelopmentofcomplexsystemcomponents.

•Completecomplexbugfixes

•Workcloselywithotherdevelopmentteammemberstounderstandcomplexproductrequirementsandtranslatethemintosoftwaredesigns

•Successfullyimplementdevelopmentprocesses,codingbestpractices,andcodereviews

•Operateinvariousdevelopmentenvironments(Agile,Waterfall,etc.)whilecollaboratingwithkeystakeholders

•Resolvecomplextechnicalissuesasnecessary

•Trainentry-levelsoftwareengineersasdirectedbydepartmentmanagement,ensuringtheyareknowledgeableincriticalaspectsoftheirroles

•Keepabreastofnewtechnologydevelopments

•Designandworkwithcomplexdatamodels

•Mentorless-seniorsoftwaredevelopersondevelopmentmethodologiesandoptimizationtechniques

KeyRequirements:

•5+yearsofSoftwareEngineeringexperience

•BSEngineering/ComputerScienceorequivalentexperiencerequired

•ExperiencewithMarkLogicXQuerydesired

•Advancedknowledgeofsoftwaredevelopmentmethodologies(e.g.,Agile,Waterfall)

•Strongproficiencywithdatamanipulationlanguageincludingoptimizationtechniques
