WearelookingforaStudyTechnicianAnimalOperationforourShanghaioffice.Ifyouareanexpertingoodlaboratorypractice(GLP)andanimalexperimentalandenjoyworkingonchallengesandhandlingdifferenttechnologies,wewouldlovetospeaktoyouonourStudyTechnicianAnimalOperationopportunity.

Responsibilities/Duties:

•Thescopeofthispositioniswithinonesiteacrossmultiplestudiesdaily.

•Learnshowtodetermineanddocumentclinicalobservations,bodyweightdata,foodconsumptiondataenvironmentaldata,andotherdataontheappropriatedatacollectionsystem(orbyhandwhennecessary).

•Learnshowtointerpretaprotocol.

•Learnsstudymanagement,dataorganization,QAauditresponse,internalandexternalclientcommunicationskills,andqualitycheckprocedures.

•Learnshowtoensurethatastudyisconductedaccordingtoprotocol,SOPs,IACUCandgovernmentregulations.

•Learnshowtoperformbasicdosingtechniquesandrestraintprocedures.

•MaintainsanimalroomsandequipmentincompliancewithGLPandAAALACrequirements.

•Learnscommonlyusedclinicalsamplingtechniques.Learnshowtoprocessandpackagebiologicalsamplesforshipmenttoclient.

•Receive,donateandeuthanizeanimalsaccordingtoAVMAguidelines.

•Recognizesdeviationsfromexpectedresultsandtakesappropriateaction.

•Abletoadapttechniquestonewproceduresorparticularneedsasdirected.

•Effectivelyschedulesmultipleassignments.

•MaintainswelldocumentedlaboratoryrecordsaccordingtoGLPs.Reviewsowndataandidentifiespotentialproblems.

•Learnstoutilizecomputersoftwareforformsandproceduregeneration.

•Mayinstructlessexperiencedstaff.

•Learnsbloodpressureandbodytemperaturemeasurementproceduresasappropriate.

•Reportsallanimalcareconcernsandbecomesinvolvedintheresolutionandappropriatecorrectiveaction,whennecessary.

•Maybeinvolvedinclienttoursorclientinteractionduringstudyinitiations.

•Otherdutiesasassigned

Education/Qualifications

•AssociatedegreeinLifeSciences,AssociatedegreeinLaboratoryAnimalTechnology,inVeterinaryTechnologywith0-2yearsofrelatedexperience.

Experience

Noexperienceisrequiredifyoumeettheeducationrequirements.or0-2yearsofrelatedexternalexperiencebasedoneducation.orAminimumof6monthsexperienceasaStudyTechTraineewhileemployedatCovance,oraminimumoftwoyearsofrelatedexperiencemaybesubstitutedforeducationrequirements
